Helping out with the Aftermath of the Typhoon

This typhoon, Jangmi, has truly taken a very unusual course.
Although its eye left Taiwan at 4 a.m. yesterday given the large size of this typhoon,
It wasn’t until yesterday afternoon that the entire typhoon moved out of Taiwan.
This typhoon has brought very heavy rainfall in many parts of Taiwan.
We see muddy water rushing down from the mountains.
With such muddy water washing down, parts of the mountains also came down, outing off roads, damaging bridges and flooding many areas.
This is why it is very dangerous for those living near to the mountains when typhoons come.
Even the cities have been flooded as some streets were submerged in water.
It’s truly------
This year, so many typhoons have passed through Taiwan within very short intervals of almost once a week.
It’s truly tormenting.
The typhoons in August and September brought especially heavy rainfall.
(Look how Lushan has been devastated)
(Not long ago, rivers there overflowed)
And so soon Typhoon Jangmi came bringing more devastation to the area and unspeakable suffering to the people.
Nearly 600 people have been evacuated.
With mountains collapsing and the rivers flooding their banks, the devastation has altered it beyond recognition.
However, despite such a powerful typhoon that caused so much damage, it’s fortunate that most people are safe and sound.
The elderly lady we see in the footage owns a grocery store.
Upon hearing that the area was being flooded, she wanted to move the goods at her store.
Her son is a rescue worker, and he knows very well that his mother would try to rescue her goods so he called his mother and told her:
“It’s more important that you’re safe”
“Forget about those goods”
Indeed, what matters most is people’s safety.
As long as people are safe, there is no need to worry about not being able to survive.
People in Taiwan are especially blessed.
Yesterday, right after the eye of typhoon left Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteers across Taiwan immediately went out to see what they could do to help people in their community.
Is everyone safe and sound?
Yes, we are.
Yesterday, I also went to see our schools and I saw that classes have resumed in our primary and secondary schools.
Everywhere was very clean and tidy, and everyone was safe and sound.
Then, I went to our Tzu Chi College of Technology.
The teachers and students all spent the first period class cleaning up the school grounds
When I arrived there at around 9 a.m. the campus was already very clean and tidy.
When I went to Tzu Chi University, I saw only a couple of trees lying on the ground, and our staff and students had already begun to erect and secure the trees.
They said to me:
“It’s wonderful to have Tzu Chi volunteers” as Tzu Chi volunteers quickly went there to help and offer their support.
See how our volunteers care for others of their own accord like this.
Everyone is like one big family.
It truly warms my heart to see this.
When I went to the relief coordination center we’d set up in Jing Si Hall, I asked:
“Are everyone’s homes safe and sound?”
“Yes”
“Why haven’t you disbanded yet”
“since the typhoon has already passed?”
“Not yet, everyone is still out and about”
“to see where and what help is needed, “they said.
They were still waiting for news.
Our volunteers started working even before the typhoon arrived, and then helped with cleanup work right after the typhoon left so that everything could return to its original state.
Moreover, they stayed behind at the center to wait for news about where help was needed.
We also saw that in Pingdong yesterday, our volunteers delivered meal boxes on rafts.
It’s truly very heartwarming to see.
(Because both the water supply)
(and electricity were cut off,)
(we sent over hot meals for them)
Tzu Chi volunteers all over Taiwan are continuing to provide care and support to those affected.
In Yilan, Tzu Chi volunteers also reported that a school has been covered in mud and has asked whether Tzu Chi volunteers can help with cleaning up their school grounds.
Tzu Chi volunteers will definitely go to their aid.
We also see other places that have been affected by floods.
Apart from providing emergency cash, Tzu Chi volunteers are also helping with the cleanup effort.
All in all, Taiwan is still a very blessed place even though there has been some disaster.
We truly are blessed in Taiwan.
Take a look at the people in Haiti and what a truly sad lot they have.
Within a month, Haiti was hit by two tropical storms and two hurricanes.
It has truly brought unspeakable suffering to the people of Haiti.
The first storm struck over a month ago.
(and the place is still covered in mud and water)
Everyone, just imagine how they have had to live in muddy waters for more than a month.
Haiti is already very impoverished to begin with and now floodwaters and mud.
Have inundated their homes
There is not a dry piece of land where they can retreat to.
They truly have no way out.
Although the UN World Food Program (WFP) is currently providing aid to the people there, (the aid work will be long-term)
As the size of the devastated area is too large.
How are we to bring relief to a country like Haiti and help the people there?
We must think of ways to help them as the people are still affected by the flood.
Speaking of which, we truly must be very grateful that we live in Taiwan because wherever disasters occur in Taiwan. Tzu Chi volunteers will quickly rush to bring aid.
(and help those in need)
I also mentioned yesterday that we should be grateful at every moment.
We also need to keep in mind Nature’s might and be fearful of it.
So, we must learn to be humble and be grateful for being safe and sound and for being so blessed.
We must be humble and sincerely pious at all times as well as be very careful and on guard.
(to cultivate the right mindset)
The abode of our mind---we are its owners, so we need to take good care of this abode--- our mind.
Within us, there is a priceless treasure and we must guard this treasure carefully.
As we are already its owner, and are masters of this abode, we are actually very rich.
We have a lot of love within us and have the power to help others.
So, we should be grateful at every moment.
(and try to inspire people to understand)
the need for us to be humble and the need to be a person who helps others.
Only then can we truly benefit humanity.
In fact, there is another tropical storm forming over the ocean (near the Philippines)
So, we truly must remain cautious and sincerely pious at all times and make it a part of our daily cultivation.
So, everyone, please remain vigilant always.
In seeing how blessed Taiwan is.
We must know to create more blessings.
Look at Haiti again.
We truly must try to think about how we can help the people there.
As long as there’s a glimmer of a chance, we must try hard to see what can be done.
Meanwhile, relief work in parts of the U.S. affected by Hurricane Ike is still underway.
Tzu Chi volunteers are still surveying the disaster areas and bringing aid to those affected.
All in all, it is my hope that Tzu Chi volunteers worldwide can work hard to inspire people everywhere to understand the need for us to be pious, vigilant, and humble.
In all, I am truly very grateful for everyone’s dedication.
May the world be safe and sound always.

颱風一個接著一個來，慈濟的防颱協調中心也沒有休息過，從颱風前的宣導到風雨中送便當，一直到颱風遠離了、志工協助受災戶清掃。證嚴上人在今天的志工早會提到，同樣是風災，但台灣已經比海地要幸運多了，而美國在艾克颶風後，也面臨凱爾風暴的威脅。上人呼籲大家，不分遠近親疏，能共同祈求人人平安天下無災。
薔密颱風逐漸遠離，慈濟人的腳步馬上走入受災戶家中，從颱風來臨前的防災宣導到風災過後的打掃關懷；哪裡有難，藍天白雲的身影就出現在哪裡，陪伴所有災民走出災難。
同樣是風災過後，在美國艾克颶風重創德州，美國慈濟人及時的膚慰，安撫災民。還有接連而來的凱爾風暴，慈濟人也加強宣導，希望民眾提高警覺，以謙卑的態度來面對。
懂得知福惜福，才能再造福，人人心懷感恩，謙卑的面對天地，互助互愛才能化解天災。

Indeed, every day, every one of us must be filled with gratitude for Nature's grace.
We must be grateful for being safe and well at every moment of every day.
At the same time, we must also remind ourselves that in this universe, there is an underlying force in Nature that can show us its might and also its grace.
So, at every moment, every one of us must stay vigilant and be on the alert.
Look at Typhoon Jangmi.
Though the typhoon didn't bring as much damage as expected, don't say the weather forecasts were inaccurate.
In fact, the weather forecast was very accurate.
Be it the wind strength and speed of the typhoon or where it is heading and at what time, all the information provided to us was very accurate.
So, we must believe in the weather forecast and not think, "They made such a big news of"
"the typhoon, but aren't we all safe and sound?"
Exactly, it is because we're all safe and sound that we should be grateful.
Typhoon Jangmi is equivalent to a category 3 hurricane, which is very strong.
It is also very large in size.
So, it not only brought strong winds but also very heavy rainfall.
This has to do with the high and low air pressure areas nearby that have been affecting its movement.
Although the typhoon's eye left
Given the strength of this typhoon, we mustn't let down our guard and think we can relax now.
We should still remain on high alert.
Early this morning, Tzu Chi members across
They all said that as soon as the rain eases.
They'll go out to see how they can be of help.
For example, in Yilan, some areas have been flooded since noon yesterday.
because of continuous heavy rain.
In some places, floodwater is expected to recede by this evening while in other places, it may take longer.
Our volunteers know about this because they are very active in the community and they can get the information from their donating members by phone.
So, our volunteers are making preparations and as soon as the rain eases, they'll go out to see what they can do to help.
Our volunteers in Pingdong are also doing the same.
Today is the new moon, and we know that spring tides occur during the full moon and
The new moon, so some places in Pingdong have been flooded. So, Tzu Chi volunteers are preparing hot meals to give out to those affected.
That was what we heard from our volunteers all across
Tzu Chi volunteers in central and southern
Hearing that, I'm truly very grateful.
So, every one of us must know that in every second of our life, we live under the might and grace of Nature.
When we are safe and sound, we should be grateful and when disasters strike,
(we are in the hands and mercy of Nature)
That is why the Buddha teaches us to be aware of the impermanence in life.
When the force of our karma brings about disasters like this……
The force of karma is also very strong.
The collective bad karma living beings created is a very powerful force.
(and brings on disasters like this) in our natural world.
There is also a mighty force that is unseen.
This force can have a very strong destructive power.
So, we should take up a respectful and humble attitude toward Nature.
But in saying that , we don't want people to panic about the might of Nature and be in a state of fear and unrest.
Yesterday, I spoke of how upon hearing a typhoon warning, everyone rushes to the market to hoard up supplies.
We saw that as soon as the water spinach was laid out, many hands reached out to grab it.
Why is it that everyone is fighting over vegetables?
So, it's no wonder.
In
Because they are afraid they won't get any food.
But in
Even with a typhoon coming it'd be over in a few days.
During normal times, we ought to make preparations for times of disaster.
So, there is a saying "Prepare for rainy days"
What need is there for these scenes of people fighting over vegetables in the market.
When there is a mere typhoon alert?
There's really no need for that.
When asked, a buyer said "It's cheaper if we buy them now"
But how much cheaper is it really?
Because people are in a state of panic, they create such a chaotic scene.
So, I often say we must remain calm and composed.
But, see, if everyone harbors a heart of gratitude---
Buddhists should be grateful to all Buddhas. Bodhisattvas, and guardian spirits above
(for their protection)
We owe a debt of gratitude to the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and all guardian spirits in heavens.
With their power, they can protect the safety of all living beings.
So, we need to be grateful.
This should be the attitude of every Buddhist.
When we meet with untimely weather conditions, we should reflect upon ourselves and repent.
So, truly, whenever there is a typhoon, we can see Tzu Chi volunteers throughout Taiwan safeguarding every location by setting up disaster relief coordination centers and extending help to those in need, etc.
Our volunteers make all possible preparations and pray sincerely.
Not only do we take measures at each and every of our Tzu Chi offices,
In fact, in all our hospitals and schools they have made arrangements
to stand guard over the building round the clock.
For that , I'm truly very grateful.
(Indeed, everyone should live piously)
(and follow the teachings of their religion)
Even those who don't have a religious faith should live in harmony with Nature's laws and walk on the right path in life.
At the very least, they should have moral ethics and principles and be a cooperative citizen.
That's what they should do.
So, religions show us life's purpose and teach us correct practices in daily life.
So, it doesn't matter what religion you are.
(but you must have a sense of morals and ethics)
(So, it's important that we have correct views)
We truly must be grateful in times of peace at every moment of every day.
Every one of us must be grateful in our daily life.
In the midst of disaster, we must have faith and repent and also pray with sincere piety.

Everyone should take proper precautions.

Every time there's a typhoon warning, I'm very grateful to all Tzu Chi people in
At every Tzu Chi office everyone has set up a relief coordination center prepared supply packages and have visited or care recipients.
Before the typhoon comes, our volunteers would visit them to see if they've made proper preparations.
If their house is not very sturdy, we would quickly help them fix up the house.
If the house cannot be strengthened, we would persuade them to take shelter in a safer place.
Every time before a typhoon, Tzu Chi volunteers work very hard to prepare for it.
If everyone can be this way, if everyone in
When every person is safe, every family will be safe.
Then, collectively, our society would be safe.
Therefore, we should all know how to protect ourselves.
Also, we need to unite together and work to prepare for the typhoon.
Only if all people in
Whenever a typhoon is to come,

(anxious to hoard us supplies)
Actually, (why can't we)
(prepare for the typhoon with an even mind?)
There's no need for such a rush to hoard supplies. It creates a sense of impending doom as if a major calamity or crisis were about to hit.
Keep that up and it just may come true.
Look at our society today.
Everything is painted as a big calamity or crisis.
be it the "finance crisis" or the "tainted milk crisis"
See, don't the news reports all use such terms?
Report after report revolves around these issues.
Is there really nothing better to report on?
No news that's more meaningful or significant?
Not touching stories that are worthy of reporting?
I believe there are.
The world is big and there're a lot of good people doing a lot of good in our world.
Why does the news only report crisis after crisis?
(Words escape me)
Everyone, I really hope that all of us can calm down our minds and pray with sincerity and see if our prayers can be.
So earnest and strong that they can resonate and be heard by all Buddhas and guardian spirits above.
Look how loud the rain is outside.
(It can easily drown out the sound of)
(our prayers. So, let us be more earnest)
And strengthen our prayers.
(instead of disdainfully disregarding forecasts)
(and arrogantly taking things lightly)
(We must have a more earnest and pious attitude)
Otherwise, with one typhoon after another……
Look at Lushan, I am still very worried about it.
Don't disregard the warnings and only say you regret it after the disaster hits you.
Don't be that way.
And after you realize your error, you must remember it always and always be prudent and careful hereafter.
But how quickly people forget the lessons.
Look at the tourists on the news yesterday.
"You still came though a typhoon is coming?"
"Who cares about the typhoon,"they said.
"You still plan on going to the
"The typhoon won't be that bad."they said.
See. How disdainful they were of the warnings.
Hearing them talk that way.
I'm sure the heavens would get mad and say"
"How dare you not be afraid?"
(We should really face the typhoon with piety)
Though no one can escape his karmic retribution,
yet, we should still encourage more people to pray sincerely.
I hope there can be more good people in the world and more people can start to reflect and repent.
Educating people and purifying their minds really isn't so easy.
But we pray that the heavens and guardian spirits can be more forgiving.
So that these people who flout the warnings may still have the chance.
(to meet good people who they will listen to)
And be inspired to change and start following the rules and hot flout Nature and start respecting Nature.
I hope that the heavens won't withhold mercy.
(just because of these few people)
So that the other good people won't have to
to suffer disaster. So, we must pray sincerely.
We must strengthen our prayers.
I really hope that all can remain safe and well.
This typhoon really worries me.
The worry is really tormenting.
But as long as everyone stays safe, the time will pass eventually but everyone must be pious and vigilant at every single moment.

強颱臨境暴風雨
輕心履險招苦受
居家關懷協防災
敬天愛地得平安
薔蜜颱風來襲，提醒民眾要注意安全，盡量避免外出或冒險觀浪、出遊。證嚴上人在今天志工早會上，特別強調，人人平安就是家家平安，家家平安就是社會平安；而面對颱風直撲台灣而來，上人也呼籲大家要虔誠祈禱，讓聲波共震，祈求將災害減到最低。
薔蜜颱風來勢洶洶，台灣東部首當其衝，透過媒體不斷播送颱風訊息，就是希望民眾都能小心謹慎；而證嚴上人也特別提醒，除了作好萬全的防颱工作，但願人人都要加強防範、注意安全。
同時，上人也呼籲，在此時此刻，更需要人人提起一份虔誠的祈福、凝聚善念，心聲共振，讓這股響亮的聲波，上達天聽；唯有虔誠的心念，才能將災害發生的可能，降到最低。
用謹慎的心做好防颱工作、用虔誠的心來祈禱，戒慎虔誠、敬天愛地，時時提高警覺，才能擁有平安。

To reach it from the capital requires roughly a 15-hour drive.
This is how far it is from the capital.
But Tzu Chi volunteers are not deterred by the long distance.
Beginning in 2006, our volunteers Dr. Gao and his wife, Liang-dai went to a village in this province to provide care and free medical treatment.
There is a doctor, Dr. Sambudio, who heads a hospital in that village.
He has a very loving heart.
He was originally from
Because his family was poor and
When hi was about to graduate, he expressed the wish to go to
His professor told him:
"You don't need to go to
He said that the Argentine
So, Dr. Sambudio came to this province to practice medicine.
The hospital he now heads is the only hospital in the area.
So, our volunteers contacted Dr. Sambudio, and he has agreed to let us hold free clinics at this hospital every 45 days.
In the beginning, for the first three free clinics we held there, Dr. Sambudio did not participate but only watched from the side to see how Tzu Chi volunteers go about the work.
Both he and his wife observed from the side.
They saw that when Tzu Chi doctors treat the patients,
(they also try to comfort the patients)
They would console them, give them love and care for them with gentleness and warmth.
Sometimes, Tzu Chi also gives out supplies and aid.
Some of the local children are not able to go to school or study under difficult situations and so, Tzu Chi volunteers would try to help.
Seeing the way Tzu Chi helped the local people, Dr. Sambudio and his wife were very touched.
Dr. Sambudio's wife helps out at a local school that is poor.
She kept on applying to the government to help repair this school.
Bu the government can only pay for the labor while the school would have to
Provide the building materials on its own.
Touched by Mrs. Sambudio's love for the students, Tzu Chi volunteers also offered their love and support by providing school supplies to the students and holding activities for them.
The local people are Catholics.
We see that our Tzu Chi volunteers teach the students Jing Si Aphorisms, teach them to speak good words, and guide them to be hardworking.
They also teach the parents about health and hygiene.
They also teach them Tzu Chi songs.
They would translate the good songs into Spanish.
(The people liked the songs)
They were also moved by the meaning of the lyrics.
Through the songs, they come to understand that Tzu Chi people love all the people in this world.
Tzu Chi people do not discriminate between religions or ethnicities.
Tzu Chi people have faith in people and believe that, through education, everyone can
Become a better person.
So, the people there were all very moved.
Although they are Catholics, they are able to work together with our Tzu Chi volunteers.
After a period of time, Dr. Sambudio's wife began taking part in the culinary work.
In the last year or so, she has been very dedicated to our volunteer work.
See, as long as we have love in our hearts, there's no obstacle or barrier.
I'm truly grateful to them.
There's another doctor, a female doctor, who lives in the capital of
She also saw how Tzu Chi volunteers continually dedicate themselves to help the poor.
She's from
She was also from a poor family and had also come to
because
She practices family medicine.
So, she also joined Tzu Chi's work.
She is not only a doctor, but also the host of a radio program.
When she learned about our relief effort in
She's also a devout Catholic.
Yet she also participates in Tzu Chi activities, such as free clinic, aid distribution, etc.
She also helps promote the idea of saving money in a coin bank to help the poor.
Indeed, all it takes is one person to spread love.
(and now we see that)

They've inspired young children to become volunteers.
When these young volunteers see our Tzu Chi volunteers, these children would want to show them the Jing Si Aphorisms they've learned.
You see, there's nothing we cannot accomplish in this world.
As long as we have love in our hearts, there won't be any obstacles.
No language obstacle. No racial obstacle. No religious obstacle.
We must have a broad heart.
Living on this land, on this planet, as long as we have the seed of love and can serve like the dew. We would have ways of helping them.
We would be able to (nourish the people)just like the dew, turning that semi-desert area into an oasis and making that impoverished place into a bountiful place.
As long as we can spread good seeds and can work as diligent farmer.
I believe there will be plenty of fruits to harvest on that land.
So, seeing that in such a poor place, there are so many people, of different religions willing to help the poor---
There are so many good people in this world.
As long as we can inspire people and then unite our strength, there will be hope (for the people in need.

薔蜜颱風已經增強為強烈颱風，證嚴上人呼籲大家一定要提早防範，做好防颱準備。普天之下，只要有需要，就有慈濟人愛的足跡，即使路難行也能行。地處偏遠的阿根廷墨西哥村，距離阿根廷首都一千五百多公里，醫療、教育資源都相當缺乏，慈濟志工兩年內一共進行了十一次的義診，醫病又醫心的用心付出，啟發當地愛和善的循環。
薔蜜颱風持續向台灣逼近，已經增強為強烈颱風，中央氣象局也在今天早上發布陸上颱風警報。薔蜜颱風屬於典型秋颱，颱風外圍環流加上東北季風，將會產生共伴效應，帶來驚人雨量。證嚴上人再一次提醒大家一定要及早防範、做好萬全準備。
證嚴上人開示：「秋天這個秋季的風跟颱風，假如會合起來，那就變成了雙效應，所以我們要提高警覺，請全省的慈濟人在每一個社區要多宣導，除了委員、慈誠以外，就是會員，我們也應該要多關懷。」
只要有需要，就有慈濟人愛的足跡，即使路難行也能行。阿根廷墨西哥村，地處偏遠，醫療、教育資源嚴重缺乏，慈濟志工在這裡兩年內進行了11次的義診。當地醫院院長夫婦原本只是旁觀者，看到慈濟志工用心付出、醫病又醫心，啟發了愛的循環，即使是天主教徒，也一起響應投入。
證嚴上人開示：「只要你心中有愛，就沒有什麼障礙，沒有語言障礙、沒有種族障礙、沒有宗教障礙，心胸開闊，這一片土地，只要在地球上，你有愛的種子，有那一分如甘露的方法，那就有法度。」
慈濟人不辭辛勞的付出，灑播下愛的種子，只要勤耕耘，就能像及時甘露，沙漠也能成綠洲。

For many years now, Tzu Chi volunteers have been providing aid to these people regularly especially during the month of Ramadan.
as it is a significant time of the year for them.
At this time every year. Tzu Chi volunteers would bring material supplies to them.
So, over these years, our volunteers have formed a close bond with them.
Apart from providing them with material supplies, our volunteers have also taught them to give of themselves and help those in greater need than they are.
In the footage, we see a man who appears to be the head of this Bedouin tribe.
He also presented a coin bank to our volunteers.
Indeed, throughout these years, other than providing them with material supplies,

Water can bring prosperity to a country because only with water can people farm and grow an abundance of crops.
And, when people have food to eat, they will have the energy to do work.

So, every one of us must truly cherish the water we have

See how far they have to travel to dig for water and how people and animals drink from the same water source where there's little water & it's also very murky.
See how they dig into the soil to see if there is any water to be used.
We can see how hard their life must be.
So, in seeing how others live, we should know how truly blessed we are.
I often share with everyone the three ways that the Buddha used to guide living beings.
During the time the Buddha lived in this world, he not only taught by example,
But also applied many different ways to show people how they could cultivate themselves tame their minds, nurture goodness in themselves and give of themselves to benefit others.
(Moreover, the Buddha also guided people to)
See the laws of nature where all material things go through the process of formation, continuation, decay, and annihilation.
And while dedicating themselves to serving others people would also realize that
Those who can help others are the most blessed.
So, in everything we do and the principles we learn we can witness the Buddha's teachings in them.
So, we must have faith in the Buddha's teachings and be sincerely pious and vigilant at all times.
In fact, the course of a typhoon is affected by the location of high pressure areas.
If the air pressure increases, the typhoon will be pushed away from its original route and deviate further away from land. If so people can be safe.
(But what if it just so happens that)

(that the typhoon will eventually hit
It's truly very worrying.
All in all, we must take good care of our mind at all times, keep an upright mind, be sincerely pious, and on the alert.
That is very important.
So, everyone, please heighten your vigilance and keep a close watch of the typhoon

第十五號薔蜜颱風已增強為中度颱風，氣象局不排除它會直撲台灣而來，證嚴上人呼籲人人一定要提高警覺，做好防颱準備。上人也提到，人間許多苦難多起自人心貪念，期待大家用善念 與智慧祈求人心淨化天下無災。
編號第十五號薔蜜颱風，目前已增強為中度颱風，路徑幾乎是直撲台灣而來。先前辛樂克颱風重創台灣中南部，讓人見到國土危脆、世間無常。證嚴上人在志工早會上特別呼籲，人人一定要提高警覺，做好防颱準備，才能安全度過災難。
證嚴上人開示：「我們不能掉以輕心啊！它還在增強中，各位，我們一定一定要戒慎虔誠，好好虔誠祈禱。」
世間苦難，多起自人心貪念，在約旦因為缺水所苦的貝都因人就是一個例子。他們是三千多年前那巴頓帝國的後裔，有著令人讚嘆的水利工程，水源被羅馬帝國切斷而滅亡至今，世代面臨缺水命運。
證嚴上人開示：「這都是佛陀在裡面所說的所謂的教行證，如何修心如何養性，如何為人間付出，然後我們可以在大自然，見證大自然的成住壞空。」
歷史可以作為殷鑑，約旦的慈濟人不遠千里關懷發放，儘管宗教不同，以愛融合，就如荒漠中的甘泉湧現，期望的是淨化人心。
